Pre-Session
This comes before you meet with me. You choose your clothes, shoes, hairstyle, makeup etc. Make sure your nails (toes included . . . I love feet and might want to see yours!) are nicely manicured. Do look like yourself. You are having a picture taken to remember what you are like right now. If you wouldn't normally wear bright pink blush and thick black eyeliner or a Mohawk then don't wear it to your photo session. You won't feel comfortable and the camera will know it. Then again, if you are trying to make a statement and that's the look your are going for--by all means work it! I'll cheer you on.

Consider wearing bright colors that bring out your eyes and layers are always a great bet! Steer clear of patterns that are too distracting (unless that's the look you are after) but don't limit yourself to solids either. Patterns can add a great deal of character and funkiness.

Oh, and don't forget that before I can snap your marvelous photos you'll need to pay your session fee in full. Session fees are non-refundable. Cash or check made payable to shandee goulding only.

Where will my session be?
I make you decide this one. It's all about what you think will allow you to loosen up and express who you really are. You can have your photo session indoor our outdoor or both. Please note that photo shoots 30 miles away or further from my home base in Fredericton, Canada will be charged a travel fee of $100.00 or more depending on the distance requested. Too bad gas is so expensive these days!

How long will my session be?
Expect me to be one of your closest friends for about 1-hour on your session day and for forever after that! I do not rush my clients because that won't get the job done. Instead I stay until I'm certain I've got what I need to make you exuberantly shout: "Wow, these are the best portraits ever! We are going to show them to everyone and tell all of our friends that shandee goulding photography is the best!"

So how many photos does that mean you'll be taking?
Again, I shoot until the job is done. A normal session will yield over 200 pictures. This means no worries to you because I shoot digitally. This allows you, your children, family, fiance etc. the ability to relax and be yourselves. If you want to do a leprechaun clack-of-the-feet or dance a crazy dance go for it! You are more than welcome, invited and cheered on to experiment. If the photos don't work out in the end I simply erase them and it's like they never happened. It's our little secret.

What can I expect to have happen during my photo shoot?
During your photo shoot I will move around a lot. I like to photograph from different angles experimenting with light and backgrounds. Be prepared to move with me. It's fun, you'll see. I'll attempt to crack jokes and make silly noises . . . anything to get you to relax and feel comfortable and confident with me. Let's just say that after all the shoots I've done I've about mastered all the farm animal sounds, cheer-leading chants and Lord of the Dance moves.

Sometimes I will have you do some crazy poses. This may seem awkward to you and you many want to resist. Alas, don't give in to your doubts or those of your group! I've found these are usually some of the best photos of all.

What happens when the session is over and how do I see my proofs and get my CD?
At the end of our time together we'll part ways. I will have become a better photo chick for capturing you and your style and you'll have a new friend and some totally awesome pictures coming your way. You'll anticipate getting your web album (sent as a link to your email in 1-2 weeks after your portrait session--excludes weddings) and will be awed by how fantastic you look. You will want to stare at the pictures of yourself and/or your loved ones for hours on end and marvel at the model you are. You might also laugh because you'll be surprised at your funniness and casual approach to capturing yourself on camera.

Then, within the month (because your web album will only be on the web for one month) you'll forward your web album to all your friends, family, coworkers and quite simply anyone know. They will then ooohhhh and aahhhhh over your photos and possibly download your album to their computers to prove to everyone they know, that they knew you!

As soon as you have come to terms with how dang good lookin' your pictures are you'll email or call me to schedule a time to pick up your High Resolution photographs on CD. When you pop in your CD you will again realize that these photos will give you not just hours, but days of enjoyment as you gaze at how unbelievable you look. If you'd like me to ship your CD to you, you will be responsible for all shipping and handling costs . . . usually around $10.00.

Regrettably, after one month I'll have to remove your web album to make room for another totally amazing photo session that I can't wait for the world to see. No worries though because you have gotten your CD from me already and will have begun to print numerous prints of your photo shoot to place all around your home and office and to show all your friends who will then call and book their appointments with me. See, we both win!

*Note: You can expect between 15 and 20 pictures total in your web album and on CD.

What if something happens to my CD? Can I get another?
You might find that after a lot of use your CD may be scratched and your pictures may be lost. I highly recommend loading all your photos onto your computer as soon as you receive your CD to prevent this loss. However, if this tragedy does strike you rest assured that I keep your pictures on file for forever so you can purchase another copy from me for $100.00 plus shipping and handling (if it is to be mailed) at anytime.

Can we meet you first if we still aren't convinced you are right for us?
Sure! I love to meet with my clients before they book with me. I'd be happy to sit down and discuss what you did and didn't like from your past photo sessions with other photographers and what you'd like for me to capture. I can also coach you on what to wear or how to do your hair. It's truly very fun and exciting to help prepare you for your photo shoot and to help narrow down your options.

In the end I know you'll love your photographs. You'll help to make me famous while I'm making you look famous! It's a win-win situation.
